Hey everyone, today’s video is about the recent episode of Saturday Night Live featuring the young bull Shane Gillis. The Monologue was divisive for comedy fans because a lot of people really love Shane Gillis and his unique style of observational comedy, but a lot of people also do not like his style of comedy. A lot of the Shane detractors happen to also be big fans of Saturday Night Live, and some of them claimed Shane’s monologue was horrible and an overall bomb. I watched the monologue and thought it was pretty good. I explain why I think it was good and why some people I believe harp on Shane a little bit too much. I then talk about how Reddit feels about Shane Gillis and how there’s a surprising amount of nuance online when discussing Shane’s comedy. All in all, some people love Shane and some people don’t – SHOCKING I know.
